Why Pharmacogenomics (PGx)?
When a health care provider is considering prescribing a drug, knowledge of a patient’s genotype may be used to aid in determining a therapeutic strategy, determining an appropriate dosage, or assessing the likelihood of benefit or toxicity. -Food and Drug Administration
The Problem
- Side Effects & Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs)
- Non-Adherence to Prescription Drug Regimen
- Unnecessary Healthcare Costs Associated with Sub-Optimal Drug Regimens
- Hospital & ER Visits Due to Severe Adverse Reactions
The Solution
Improve Medication Efficacy
By considering an individual’s genetic variations, providers are able to select medications that are
more
likely to be effective or that specific individual.
Reduced Adverse Drug Reactions
Pharmacogenomics helps identify individuals who may be at a higher risk of experiencing adverse drug
reactions due to genetic variations.
Reduced Unnecessary Healthcare Costs
Pharmacogenomic testing can potentially save healthcare costs in the long run. By avoiding ineffective
medications or those linked to adverse reactions, unnecessary hospitalizations and additional medical
interventions may be prevented.
Streamline Treatment Plans
Pharmacogenomic data is able to help predict how an individual may respond to certain medications,
allowing
for more target and efficient treatment strategies.
How Pharmacogenomics Can Help?
Pharmacogenomics can play an important role in identifying responders and nonresponders to medications, avoiding adverse events, and optimizing drug dose. - Food and Drug Administration

- Devotion to corporate responsibility
The Bridge Population Health Dashboard (PHD)
Pharmacogenomics allows providers, health systems, payers, and PBMs to assess the viability of
Pharmacogenomics testing in their patient population. Our proprietary software system ingests patient
medication regimen data and compares it to the drug-gene interaction tables outlined by CMS (Centers for
Medicare & Medicaid Services) to identify potential risk and medical necessity of Pharmacogenomics
testing for every patient in the data set.
The Bridge Ordering Resulting Interface Next Generation (BORING)
Allows for seamless integration of the PHD data to easily identify, order, and retrieve test results for patients that may qualify based on CMS guidelines.
Bridging the gap between diagnostics and therapeutics to improve patient outcomes.
